DICE wants to let you know they're still working hard on improving Battlefield: Bad Company by fixing some issues that have popped up and also by adding some much desired content. DICE isn't goofing off here, the addition of a Battlefield series staple, Conquest Mode, is apparently almost done. DICE says it's "currently going through testing and certification." According to Shack News, this DLC will be free of charge.

Also, in case you've run into some bugs or problems, DICE is listening and is working on several issues. Here's a list they've laid out:

Clan support/private rooms/team chat
Auto balancing on servers
Continued support against stats exploits
VOIP issue on PS3 (working with Sony on this)
Squads might be split up when joining a server as a squad. This is due to team balancing in the games that are being joined, and usually resolves itself in round 2.

Yea thats mad hey and also we are going to have clan support.

my ps3 froze today when i was coming 1st in my team and we were winning
so i didnt get the win trophy and best squad and maybe 1st overall (i dont think i was 1st overall though)

that sucks

this game causes some weird shit to happen

so far :

ps3 froze a few times
crashes when quiting game
lost sound
sniper scope wouldn't work

oh well still fun

The update 2.40 has been pulled from the Playstation network cause its causing all sorts of problems with the PS3. Apparently several people have had their PS3s turn into expensive bricks since the update, many others are craching and freezing up. Touch wood no probs with mine so far.

So they have removed 2.40 until further notice.

this does not sound good, mines been ok so far! No doubt there will be an update 2.41 coming very soon if this is the case

far out i didnt know it was that bad

I dont think it is the update. My PS3 has froze a few times when i still had 2.36 so i wouldnt think it was 2.4 it could be though..

Realy?Mines been compleatly fine.

my ps3 has been fine all the time.

Sometimes it would freeze in cod4 but that was at the start of the year.

I didn't even get the update before they pulled it, so still with 2.36 or something. I have only lost sound in BF:BC once, and the occasional laggy game are my only complaints so far....

so the new game mode 'Conquest' is nearly out, and its free too, thats cool-ish

will this draw everyone that has it back to BFBC?

did anyone else get teh conquest?
i rekcon its pretty good, i think its newer maps?
or maybe they seem new cause its differnt mode and you get spawned at different places
you can really rip it up in this mode if you have good players
but i have been saying that about this game since i got it
